I'm still not looking forward to leaving, but something recently changed my perspective on my previously-large woes. Something happened to someone very dear to me that made my own problems seem somewhat insignificant. I know I'm sounding very vague, but I'm sure you understand if I cannot go into details here. After all, this blog is meant to be a generous serving of craft, fashion, and art... with just a dash of personal stuff on the side. Not too much. Besides, I would bore you with that.
That said, here is a glimpse of some (oval!) badges and a camera pendant I had made - coming very soon to my Etsy shop.

I have gotten into a habit of buying postcards of vintage advertisements.. or as we say, tempo doeloe postcards. This is just some of the latest bunch. The ads date back to the 1920s... I'm sure some are even older. The spelling of Indonesian words and sentence structures were very different in those days, and there was still a lot of Dutch influence. Flipping through these images and words is like exploring a completely different and fascinating world. These pictures deserve a place in our school history books. It sure would've made me enjoy history for a change!

9 little notes:
Ohh I'm so getting me some badges!
Your badges are really cute! :))
And I took the liberty to quote this sentence - Something happened to someone very dear to me that made my own problems seem somewhat insignificant. I know I'm sounding very vague, but I'm sure you understand if I cannot go into details here. - in my newest post (I put your link, no worries), because I was... well, am in a similar situation.
my darling, I am so sorry I have been away for so long and thus unable to comment properly on your posts. I would love to go and ocmment on them all but time is limited.
those badges looks adorable, and probably will be sold quite quickly when you put them up.
I am glad you had a nice time in indonisia with your family during new years and during all these holidays.
I hope your weeks continue to get happier and never worsen.
Sorry to hear, read, about the mysteryous friend of yours that has some great dilemmas going on it her life. Wishes of a better time and happy events for her are coming her way, from me to her, even though I do not know her.

I love the vintage postcards! I think if you had heaps of them they'd look pretty plastered to a wall.
Oh and I appreciate your taking the time to mention personal stuff...the same thing happened to me last year. It's all about perspective!
xx
Oh, those badges are truly wonderful. So cute! I hope you are well, dear.
Cute badges...
Those postcards are interesting as well, I think they would look cool all together like that on someone's wall in a bedroom.
I love those badges!
And I hope everything's okay with your friend. I had a similar revelation recently, for similar reasons which, like you, I can't go into.
The badges are just lovely and I like the vintage postcards, last year I made a collage-type thing from vintage newspaper adverts, they fascinate me! Char x
Omg, I'm so sorry I got your name wrong, I was reading a lot of different feeds at the moment and probable mixed you up with someone! Sorry again!
