send an owl to a muggle

On the weekend we got up early to see Harry Potter at IMAX - yay! My my, haven't those kids grown up? After the movie, we hung out at the gardens for a bit.

top - Dotti, skirt - Indonesia, belt - thrifted, flats - Rubi,
ring - vintage button ring for
Leeloo (among many other new rings! do check them out at Leeloo)

Once we were done with all the picture-taking, we put this sign on the balloon and left it near a tree:

It was so windy that it blew away within seconds! It would be nice to think some kid found the balloon and had fun playing with it. It's a better thought than the balloon being stuck on a roof and then pecked and popped by a (surprised!) bird.

I love the assemblage of colors in your outfit. It's nice to see that cute belt again.

The note on the balloon is precious. I hope a kid found it, too :)

Thank you for your kind words about my photos. I fell out of taking photos with my film camera for quite a while, but I hope to be more consistent with it now. I enjoy seeking interesting details to capture, so I was glad to see your comment about that :) I snapped my favorite photo about 4 years ago, but I've been too weary of sharing it online...

I like your skirt!
Hehe, that's so cute, passing the balloon on like that!
It reminds me a little of that French film 'flight of the red balloon.'

This post is filled with amazing amounts of cute. I lurve and luff the outfit you're wearing - the color palette is so soothing and sweetly feminine.

Sounds like you had a lovely day! I have yet to see the new Harry Potter movie, or even the last few! Unfortunately, I stopped reading the series after Book 5 because Harry was bothering me to no end in that book. I will have to pick up the series from the beginning and re-read the entire thing so I can properly watch the films. I've seen film stills and of course, advertisements for the movie and it looks really great so I'm regretting the fact that I fell off the HP bandwagon so long ago...
