Some of you may remember this drawing from this post. Well, after reading some of your comments and putting some thought into it, I am considering selling this type of artwork on my Etsy. They will be original illustrations (as in each one will be an original drawing, not a print) on a vintage book page. Subjects will vary from hot air balloons, ballerinas, and any other dreamy images I can come up with. I will layer the vintage book page on a thick card, and it will be about the size of a postcard (to fit in an average letter envelope).
For a chance to win this Hot Air Balloon illustration, simply leave a comment and answer these questions:
1. Would you, or anyone you know, be willing to buy this type of artwork?
2. How much would you be willing to pay for it (considering what I have described above)?
Please be as honest as you can. Even if your answer to question 1 is "no", that's totally fine and you'll still be entered in the giveaway. If you answered "yes", do answer question 2.
Any other feedback and suggestion would be highly appreciated, although not compulsory (what images do you like? would you like it as a greeting card? etc).
Please make sure there's a link to your blog or leave an email, so I can contact you if you win.
Competition ends this Saturday, and I will randomly select a winner soon after.
Thanks, and good luck! :)
32 little notes:
1. Would you, or anyone you know, be willing to buy this type of artwork?
yes because it's super cute and looks like it would be in a librarian's house.
2. How much would you be willing to pay for it (considering what I have described above)?
$10 and under
1. Yup!
2. $5 - $10
I think greeting cards would be cute - also maybe some ACEOs.
Hope I win! :D
1. I would definitely buy it! The colors are incredibly sweet and they are a great idea to decorate a room.
2. Around $5 -$10 depending on the complexity of the design. I also think just like Penelope, you could even make the sweetest greeting cards with those, and tags.
Lol, hope I win!
=)
Best of luck with selling them in your shop!
1. yes, I was definitely awe struck by the post before when you first introduced these drawings.
2. $6
I would love to own something as sweet as that, it is not very often these days that you can buy one off original artwork. And I would pay probably somewhere under $10.
1. Yes, and I think the fact that it is an original drawing and not just a print makes it even more desirable :)
2. $10 was the amount first popped into my head.
1. Yes. I would and have friends who would. I personally would love a series of them on my wall and they would make perfect gifts.
2. $10 and under. It seems reasonable (given currency conversion) and means I could buy several.
They would be amazing in sets of greeting cards or post cards!
1. Yes,But I think It will be really cute if it's print on canvas bags or make into Greeting card like Penelope says. or make a smaller one, as a pins.
2.$5-$10
1. Yes sure yes yes yes! (LOL). I am a fans of vintage art! I bet it will be darn cool if i frame it on and put it in my room wall. moreover if the page of the book contains such good and encouraging words! hehe :)
2. hmm, 5-8$ . :)
HOPE I WIIIIIINNNN!!!! hehehehe :DD
1. Yes I would!
2. $10
Oh, awesome! :)
1) I'd be willing to buy it! Especially since you're going to put them on a thick card - seems sturdier than some artwork I've seen.
2) I agree with previous comments about the price being somewhere around $10. You shouldn't go too low, though, since each one will be an original piece!
i would definitely consider to buy it, it's adorable!
depending on the size i think $5-15 (small, medium, large) is a reasonable prize.
hi
Lovely print! 1. Yes, definitely! 2. $10-12
i think you have a great talent and you should totally do it! and just like carly said, this would look great in a librarians home! WINK, WINK!!
1. I would buy it! As long as it is on a heavy backing. You could offer to frame it for an additional cost/shipping.
2. $8-10. As Rebecca said, not too low because each one is OOAK.
Greeting cards would be cool. You could offer to write a personalized message? Don't know... Good luck!!
1. Yes, I really think so. I know I would, as it's unique, specially created and totally adorable. It would add so much to a room!
2. I also think 10$ is a reasonable price! So much more could come out of it as well... Gift boxes, cards... all sort!

Oh, I think that sounds like a fantastic idea. I, for one, have never come across anyone else making such cards, so therefore it's very interesting.
And yes, that would definitely be a type of artwork I'd consider buying.
And like most others, I think around 5-10 $ would be a reasonable price.
That's really nice and I would have bought it.
1. Definitely.
2. $5 to $10 depending on what it was. I could see this as a card or even as stationery. I could definitely see a stationery set selling for $10, a card for $5 and prints for $10.
$10 - $15? Cute!!
that's cute! :D
maybe $10 or under :) I always love handmade art :)
1. YES i think this is such an original idea, espeically if you did a variation of products like cards and maybe even wrapping paper
2. A price from $5 to $15 depending on the size and the detail would be a most resonable price
1. Yes, it's a very cute illustration Anna and also I love that it's done on a book page. It would look lovely on my wall in a frame! :)
2. I'm really terrible at pricing things. But I would guess that depending on the size I'd pay something along the lines of $7 to $15 (+Shipping) maybe? $7 if it's a small page. I wouldn't go as low as $5 though. It is an original drawing!
I love that you've decided to share more of your art work also.
