pop up

I absolutely love pop-up books! Don't expect fairytale castles in this one though.
This fantastic book was created for Australia's Harper Bazaar. You can see a short video of the pages in action here. My favourite is the one where the runway models are coming towards you. Clever!

I'm totally digging the nefertiti, kahlo, and wonder woman fold out heads in the second picture!! :) Pop up books made my childhood soar. And then kindergarten math books killed it. :(

I love pop-up books! As a little girl we mostly went to the library for our books, but would always seek out the pop-up's. Something so magical about them. It's great that Harpers made a pop-up fashion book. Clearly they know that women are still prone to what they loved as children. :)

This is so cool! I normally love collages, but these are even better, since they're 3D. The one with the models is my favorite, too.

Thank you so much for the happy birthday wishes! You should try sewing felt animals again-- even if they're funny looking, they always come out exciting and cute! :)

when i have fear of something i tell myself its a good thing, it means i care or what i fear is important to me. i take little steps to get through and then when the fear is gone i feel fantastic for getting past something i feared. next time i remember how fantastic it felt the last time i conquered my fear : )
