miss pettigrew lives for a day

I saw this film on TV a few weeks ago. I had wanted to see the it when it came out last year, but never actually got around to it then. Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day is a fun, colourful, and light-hearted film. It's not one of those films that keeps you thinking hours after the film has ended, but that doesn't make it any less entertaining. I particularly enjoyed seeing the stunning 1930s costumes and art deco setting design. Oh, and Amy Adams and Lee Pace are cute too! Although I kept thinking how weird if was hearing Lee Pace with an English accent (I still see him as the pie maker from Pushing Daisies!).

P.S. The wonderful Leeloo has done a interview with me, as a featured designer. You can read it here (and for those who've ever wondered what I look like, there's a photo of me too *embarrassed*).

Oh this was such a wonderful movie...it had the dialogue and costumes of old 30's screwball comedies. I even teared up a little at the end and totally agree with you that a movie doesn't necessarily have to be 'serious' in order to be entertaining.

Wow! I've never heard of this film but the clothes in it are gorgeous! I love the dress Amy Adams is wearing in the second pic - those shaggy sleeves are to die for.

Thanks for sharing; I'll have to check this out sometime.

I remember seeing the trailer for this movie and wanting to see it for the wardrobe, but the plot seemed like an average movie. After seeing these photos, I'm totally rethinking seeing it!
