weekend close ups

I met up with the lovely Penelope on the weekend. That is her hand below (I like her nail polish!). I like her ring too, but I'm biased ...because I made it.

We went to check out the Craft Expo at the Royal Exhibition Building. I got a bunch of crafty supplies to play and make pretty things with (which might then to go into the Etsy shop). I bought a dusty-pink lace trim and some charms. I also got some nifty pearl cabochons from Penelope.

Once we were done with all things crafty , we walked towards the city and snapped pictures along the way. I took lots of photos on my film camera, and have finally reached the end of the roll. Looking forward to getting it developed this week! Can't wait. Will definitely keep you posted on how they turn out.

And we had cupcakes for lunch. Mmm... cupcakes....

One of the cabochons remind me of a hot air balloon.

*EDIT*
.. and here's little old me. Thank you for the photo, dear Penny!

Wearing that dress, this necklace, and a completely colour-clashing-with-outfit bag from the craft expo (but it was free and functional, so I'll quit complaining).

P.S. Mum says thank you for the birthday wishes given in the comments of that post!
