a dollar gets you a pretty dress

I went to some op-shops (a.k.a. thrift shops or charity shops, depending where you're from) with the lovely Penelope today. I had never been to any of the shops before, which were pretty far from where I live, so it was fun exploring new places -and it got even better every time we came across great finds. Some of our purchases included colourful tights and cute $1 dresses. Yes, ONE DOLLAR dresses. It was the highlight of the day.

Photos from top to bottom: ♥ a glimpse of my $1 dress, ♥ Penny's $1 dress, ♥ our tights (mine's the "pumpkin" one), ♥ and another dress I thrifted (not for a dollar, but I looove the collar and print).

Will show you the full length photos of the dresses another time, 'kay? They have a date with the washing machine first, and I need to shorten that last dress too (it falls way below the knees).

Some other random photos from the day:

Hope you don't mind the image-heaviness of this post!!

Oh my goodness, are you serious? ONE DOLLAR??
I am in shock, not only were those dresses really cheap but also extremely cute. I would have had a field day at that shop. :)

WOW, congrats on the cute $1 dress. That would never happen in London. I remember getting a silk embellished dress and a silk tunic for $2 each. Love great deals.

Wow I can't believe you got the dress for only one dollar, those op-shops are awesome ! I love the print of Penny's dress and the last one you bought, I'm quite obsessed with flower print atm :p
To answer your question, Narumi is a japanese girl name, didn't find the meaning yet :)

Oh wow! What a great bargain, can't wait to see full-length pics of the dress! I don't think I can find a dollar dress here, definitely not a pretty one:P

Can you beat a cute dress for just $1? i think not! It's difficult to even find an awful dress for a $1 so to find a nice one is not a high probability

One dollar! That's fantastic. I can't wait to see more. You're so lucky and it looks like such fun. I wish the thrift shops around here were that generous with their prices:)

The little previews you shared of your new dresses are so tantalizing! I can't wait to see them at full length. Hehe, there you go again being brave with your tights. Orange! That's a color I've been wanting to try, but cannot muster up the courage for ;)

I wish there were more thrift stores near me, especially ones that sold things as cheap as that!

Only just discovered your blog and really, really like it :)
