much love monday [random compliments]

I love: that during the weekend, as I was crossing a street, a random man who was crossing from the other side, threw an unexpected compliment at me ("beautiful dress!") as we walked pass each other. Made me smile to hear that.
Have you ever been given a random compliment by a stranger, that brightened your day? Or maybe you were the one giving the compliment? Tell me about it :)

How to join in Much Love Monday*:
1. Do a blog post that includes a picture of a heart and mention something you love.
2. Leave a link of your blog post in the Linky space below.**
3. PLEASE put in the thing you love in the form's title space. That way it creates a list of what everyone loves, instead of a list of blog titles.
* You don't have to do the post on a Monday, I just collect the links on this day.
** Please leave the link AFTER you've done the post. Thanks!

Great idea for a Much Love Monday post! I received an unexpected compliment this weekend, too. I was ringing register at work and a little girl who came through my line with her mother told me she liked my glasses. Hehe, it was cute and totally made my day.

I love that compliment :) So random, short and perfect. Give that man a high five!

The only random compliments I ever get from strangers is when I wear my Ghostbusters Hoodie. I usually get the "Hey, sweet hoodie!" or..."who ya gonna call??" It's always rather amusing. Sometimes I go for a while without wearing it in public...so it throws me off when someone says something about it! I've had it for like ten years now...still never gets old :)

When I was working at a large public hospital on an evening shift, a total stranger (good lookin guy!) came out of nowhere, handed me a rose, and disappeared. Angels appear in all guises!

Yeah, I've had that happen before...both giving and receiving compliments. It always feels so nice either way. I work in a public library and often patrons will tell me that they like my dress or ask if its vintage. It always makes me light up when that happens. Often they're either younger women or elderly ladies.

What a nice compliment that man gave you!

When I shopped at my local Salv Army once, the cashier asked me for my id (becuase I was paying with a credit card), and he said it was hard to believe my real age because he thought I looked 18. It was totally surprising, and kind've made my day :)

that's so sweet! i love nice old men.

i also love those earrings!!

i love giving compliments... i'm a firm believer in telling people what I like (earrings,shoes,skirt,hat..) even if I don't know them! it often throws people off guard, and some seem kind of put off (which totally makes me feel stupid and i dont get that at all!)

i love getting random compliments.. it's usually about my accessories or outfit..and i recently bought a pair of bright pink boots and those are getting lots of comments!!! sometimes people just say 'lovely smile' which makes me warm inside

Adore your earrings Anna!

Best compliment had to be being asked for ID to buy a pair of scissors! I am 30 so that was a big compliment!

Each time i go out from the house and passed by the corner where people were, they always said "hi pretty". I think it's a good compliment. And it makes me smile.

A lady in a grocery store parking lot once smiled and me and said, "I like your sass, red." That really made my day. Random acts of kindness are so great. :)

this brightened my day: some man came to me on the street and gave me a little t-shirt made of a sheet of paper. he only said "it's a lucky t-shirt" and walked away. it was so strange and nice at the same time! :D
