paper goods

I am in awe of these amazing paper cut creations by Stuart McLachlan. Paper hats never looked so exquisite!

Thank you to those who responded to my last post about the art swap! For most of you (which is everyone except for the first 2 people who replied), I'll be passing on your email address to a couple of other creative ladies who will then email you within the next few days about the swap details :)

  7. I love the birdcage top hat! It reminds me of this short film by Kenneth Anger featuring Anais Nin wearing abirdcage on top of her head. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. I think you'd love it!

  11. Woah, these are crazy elaborate! So amazing that a person will actually put in the time and effort to do something completely creative like this (although I imagine it's a pretty tedious process).

You totally should take photos whenever you feel like it and ignore the weird looks people give you! I used to be worried about it, too, and would put down my camera whenever I saw someone looking at me funny but to get the shot you want, you have to ignore them completely! I just figure I'll never seem them again anyways or maybe I just learned to not care so much. I even take pictures of strangers (as creepy as that sounds) just 'cause I want to. Sometimes they notice, sometimes they don't.
