sweet & lowdown

There are few fashion editorials that make me fall head over heels the second I see them. This is an example of one of those editorials. I instantly fell in love with the gorgeous vintage styling. It takes inspiration from early twentieth century fashion, and reminds me of Wendy Bevan's photography. The washed out colours, the "summer holiday" locations, the outfits (I want a long striped skirt now!)... just completely stunning!

Do yourself a favour and see the full "Sweet & Lowdown" editorial here.
Photographed by Nicholas Lawn, and styled by Lyson Marchessault.

I was hoping I could pull off granny chic style this good. I usually look like a trash trailer lady than being chic.

Holy wow! Those are wonderful. Had I not known they were a modern shoot, I would've thought some of them were actual vintage shots. I've never seen a photographer do THAT good a job with the lighting and quality of photo to make it look so old. Gorgeous. Great styling as well :)
