A shout out to my friend Grace who took this Much Love Monday photo for me.
On that note, what I'm loving right now: my IRL (that's 'In Real Life' in case you were wonderin') friends who are supportive of my blog! I hope you know who you are, and you are awesome (even if you do only read my blog once a month!). ^^

I've been wanting to do a "what's in my bag" blog post for a long time, but somehow have only gotten around to it now. I've been using my favourite vintage bag (from Beta Boutique) almost every single day for the past few months now. Here's what's in it today:
:: a book for the road (the Great Gatsby) :: wallet :: another bag (to carry the extra load when I stop by the library or supermarket) :: my trusted yellow Superheadz :: iPod :: black pencil case (for pens, keys, mobile, random bits of paper/receipts/coupons, and sometimes a muesli bar) :: a green bunny umbrella ::

Okay, now to stuff it all back in!

I know I've posted heaps of photos from that day already but I can't help it. Sunshine, flowers, friends, and lots of food = I become very snap happy! The Superheadz camera in particular loves lots of good sun light, which always brings out some nice vivid colours (although occasionally can seem overexposed).
That "castle" was a prop for the Wind in the Willows play that was going on there at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

I'm very excited to bring you this little interview with the wonderful and inspiring Angela from Leeloo. Through Leeloo, Angela has played a big role in supporting the handmade/indie/art scene in Australia, whether it be by introducing exciting new designers in the Leeloo online shop, organising art exhibitions, or being a part of huge craft markets. I watched the Hedgehog on DVD last night, which is a wonderful French film, and I would highly recommend you check it out. Apart from the moving story itself, there were many scenes of crafting/drawing/filming/doing something creative - that being a (wannabe) creative person myself -  I'm such a sucker for those! There's something about watching the flow and movement of something beautiful being created that's kinda inspiring, don't you think? Well I know I was inspired, because I got out a tube of black watercolour paint that I've had for a while but never used, and started painting Paloma (the little girl in the movie) before the movie was finished (and let me tell you, going back and forth between looking down at a piece of paper and up to read the subtitles is not recommended! I had to rewind and replay some scenes a few times to keep on track, haha..). It's not much of a "painting", but I had fun doing it, and that's what matters, right?
P.S. the winner of the Beta Accessories giveaway is #44 jhitomi. Congratulations! I'll be in touch shortly.

Camera: Wide lens Superheadz. Film: Fujifilm Fujicolor Superia 200

Today is my dad's birthday.
(yes, that's his feet right there, and the shadow of me taking the photo. Yes, I need better photos, and less random ones like these.).

There is no other man in the world who I adore, respect, and admire as much as my dad. He is amazing.
.. and I know he sometimes reads my blog, so: Happy birthday pak! Love you. xx

These film photos were from boxing day of last year. Ah yes, the festive spending season...

I like how the city gets dressed up a little that time of year, even the horses. By the way, can you spot the guy in the santa hat? Also, do excuse my finger covering the corner of that last photo (oops).
