some mornings, I see hot air balloons on my way to work
Every now and then, I catch the sight of the early morning Melbourne hot air balloons on my way to work. On good days, there's a cluster of them, and closer and bigger looking too. It makes those frantic weekday commutes a little nicer.
When I was a kid we used to get lots of hot air balloons drift over our house during winter as they landed in a park nearby. It was so fun standing in the backyard and waving to the people in the balloons (they were so close sometimes we could see faces haha). I think the rules must have changed or they've stopped doing it because apparently there are no more hot air balloons :(

It's like a quintessential Melbourne thing, isn't it? Hot air balloons in winter. Oh I miss taking the train everyday.
