i am not rubbish

The workspace and room of Penny from Sparrow Salvage. Photographed by Olga Bennett.

Seeing these pictures makes me want to go out and spend the whole day thrifting, just so I could decorate my place with all kinds of vintage knick knacks too. Also, I love the sign in the first photo that says "I am not rubbish". Sounds like the perfect personal encouragement, as well as a good thrifting slogan!

  2. I've always believed that there is no reason you can't decorate with thrifty finds. Why pay more?

  24. I can never get enough of flea market finds and style, just so lovely, it seems to evoke a feeling of being of loved ... shiny, new things really don't have that worn-in/beloved look, at all.

    Hope you're well, dear! ♥

  33. I always go to thrift stores and pick up pretty things worth taking photos of and decorating with. But as soon as I come home I kick myself for not being the wannabe minimalist I am. I think I just need to embrace this.
