I've been playing around with black and white film photography for the first time, and thought I'd share some of my first photos today for Shadow Shot Sunday. I thought the absence of colour helps emphasise the shadows even more, don't you think? Hopefully I'll have more to share in the coming days or weeks.
Go to Hey Harriet to see more shadow shots today.
P.S. the winner of the truth.be.told giveaway is #3, blue eyed night owl. Congratulations!
P.P.S. thank you to all my guest bloggers for their great posts these past few days! I've been overwhelmed with other things going on in my life lately, and have honestly been a bit uninspired blogging-wise, so I really appreciate the help of my guest bloggers. I have another special guest blogger coming up next week, and I'm sure you'll love what she has in store for you (especially if you love film photography too)!
13 little notes:
Great work, Anna. Your black and white shots are great. I've never heard of Lucky film?
Beautiful shots, Anna.
Fantastic, fantastic. As per.
I think I might try my hand at black and white film one day soon. Although I find the prospect a bit scary - I always like things in colour! haha
Awesome shots. Thanks for sharing!
Very, very good - love these shots.
Beautiful photos, I love black and white x
Wow Anna! These are fab! I especially LOVE the first one!
PS - Just a little thing but you really need to be disposing of your empty pizza boxes more thoughfully. Use a bin Anna, use a bin! ;D
fantastic work Anna, well done. Really like them all, they are all so different, and yes the shadows come out more with B&W.
The composition of each of your photos is outstanding...and the black and white makes it all the more interesting!! Well done.
I played shadow shot for the first time today...My LINK
Stop by if you can.
i love the one with the balloons - seeing them in black & white make me curious as to what colour they really were. delightful!
Great black and whites. I have been taking lots of b&w photos lately. Really enjoying the results actually.
xx
So beautiful. Nicely done, Anna. The absence of color really does define the shadows more. They're so striking. I especially like how in the first photo the shadow + pavement resemble the pattern of your dress. The black and white makes both a bit ambiguous.
I haven't used black and white film in a while. Might be nice to give it a go again :)
Most intriguing.
Have a nice day, Boonie
