The song in that delightful video is Song in My Head By Emma Wallace, from her album Temptation (which I honestly love, and this is one of my favourite songs on it!). Emma is not only super talented, she is also one of the sweetest bloggers I know, so I thought it would be fun to feature her with this quick interview so we can all get to know her even better.
5 Things I'd Like People to Know About Me:
1. I love sleeping in! Now that I have a six-month-old, I'm not quite able to do that (up at six today!) but I still think of it fondly!
2. I adore, collect and voraciously read children's literature.
3. I don't like onions or beans - no matter how beautifully they're prepared. But I like pretty much everything else. Just in case you invite me to dinner...
4. I'm a total wimp when it comes to bad news and sad movies! Comedies and kids' movies only, please.
5. My dream vacation destinations are Reykjavik, Limerick, Ireland, Novia Scotia, Vietnam and Hawaii
5 Things on My To-Do List:
1. My newest album - a collection of lullabies and gentle love songs
2. Organize my clothes! I used my normal clothes as maternity clothes last year so a ton of them are all stretched out and I want some new ones but I won't let myself buy some until I weed out the old ones.
3. Finish crocheting my baby's blanket.
4. Get my songs on sheet music
5. Take my kitty in for her check-up
5 Words to Describe My Music:
1. Piano
2. Happy
3. Jazzy
4. Vintage-inspired
5. Irreverent
1. My baby
2. Tea
3. Spice bread
4. Stationery
5. Music of Sting, George Michael, Cole Porter, Harry Connick, jr, Saint-Saens and Emily Loizeau (a ton others too, but these are top!)
Thank you Emma!!
Go to Emma's blog to check out her Song Sketches, and listen to bits of her upcoming lullaby album.

I spent a bit of time at the beach today, and brought along 3 of my cameras (too much?). I was trying out my Holga with black and white film for the first time, but I accidentally had it set on B (which is a no no!!) and didn't realize this until I was 4 shots away from finishing the roll! So most of those photos are pretty much ruined.... Sad face. I'm still wondering if it's even worth developing at all. As if it's not costly enough considering that 120 film only shoots 12-16 frames (in my case, 12). I'm thinking of getting a 35mm Adaptor kit, so I can shoot with my usual 35mm films instead, and get more photos out of 1 roll! Has anyone used one of those kits before? What do you think of it?
Anyway, I also had my DSLR handy to take some shadow shots for today. I love analog, but the instant results (and absence of developing cost!) of digital is handy to have. Go to Hey Harriet to see what Shadow Shot Sunday is all about.

Hooray for long weekends!! Totally need and loving this 5 day weekend we're getting (in Australia). I started it off by having one the most relaxing (re: lazy) Fridays I've had in a long time. It feels so refreshing to sleep in and not worry about catching an early tram for a change! Tomorrow I'm making pancakes and then will be heading out with my camera, maybe to the beach.
How are you spending this long weekend? Are you going on a trip somewhere? Spending time with your family? Or just kicking back and enjoying a well-deserved break?
P.S. The winners for the vantiani postcards giveaway are #8 Bianca J, and #26 Zoe. Congratulations! I'll be in touch with you shortly.

As mentioned in my last post, here are more photos from the Camberwell market during the weekend. Sadly my camera batteries died out halfway through the day, so I couldn't take as many photos as I would have liked. However, I did manage to snap these little gems. The highlight for me was a Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs book from 1938! It being my favourite Disney classic, I was definitely tempted - if only I had $45 to spare on the spot. Instead, I spent the $5 I did have on a couple of pretty vintage tops (more on those another time, yeah?).

Much Love: markets.
I went to Camberwell market yesterday, and had a blast exploring the hundreds of stalls at this "trash and treasure" market. There was definitely plenty of vintage treasures on the day! I know these photos don't show very much (obviously I'm only picking out the ♥ heart photos for today), but I'll share more photos and my purchases later on in the week.

Okay, so this isn't actually thrift finds for this week, because I found these tops at an opshop a few weeks ago, but had only gotten around to photographing them now (Oops!). I seem to be attracted to deep pinks and purples (or "berry" colours as I like to call them) these days. Perhaps it has something to do with autumn? Or maybe I'm just craving sweet berries. Anyway, for whatever reason, I was quickly attracted to these tops and cardigan for their colours. The flower print blouse with the ruffle collar is definitely a new favourite.

This cheeky Easter card by Anthea of Spoonful magazine made me giggle. Anyone living in Australia in the past couple of years and watches the news will know what the reference is.
