push processed

Camera: LC-A+, film: fuji superia x-tra 400 (pushed to 1600)

The first film roll I used in my LC-A+ camera during my Japan trip was a 400 iso one. However, stupid me had the LC-A+ set to 1600 instead, and did not realize this fact until the very end of the roll. So at that point I was fearing for the worst and expected my first shots of Tokyo - which in my mind were supposed to be everything magical and magnificent - end up being completely underexposed and dark and awful. Yeah, heart breaking stuff. Luckily, someone gave me valuable film developing advice: get it push processed. The result? The complete opposite from what I feared. The colours are so vibrant and really pop! Heart break avoided! Happy accidents can be fun.

i remember about pushing film from taking analog photo classes back in the days when i developed the film myself. i NEVER would have remember that trick these days though if you hadn't mentioned it. as always, beautiful photos.
