Love: that I got my wish. Novak Djokovic won the 2011 Australian Open!! YES!!!! *Applauds at the TV (after yelling and fist pumping at it earlier. I'm a dork)* SO happy! But gotta feel sorry for Andy Murray though, maybe it was the nerves (heck, even I was nervous just watching), but it wasn't as tight of a match as people expected it to be. A tad sad that the Australian Open is over for another year, though it must be a relief for my twitter followers who no longer have to put up with me bombarding them with tennis tweets, and I promise I'll stop squeezing the tennis talk into the blog too... well until the French Open or Wimbledon rolls along at least, but we'll see ;)

quarter final: Andy Murray vs Alexandr Dolgopolov (yay Murray!)
fourth round: Victoria Azarenka vs Li Na (yay Li Na!)
I know it's hardly clear, but that is the Martina Navratilova on a practice court. The legend!!

Sorry for being away from the blog these past few days! I've been busy spending time with my parents who came to stay over for a week, and I got a chance to see the tennis with my dad... SO. MUCH. FUN. I'm such a tennis fan, and no other shades of blue makes me as happy as the ones all over the Australian Open venue! Nothing beats the drama and excitement it represents. I brought along my film camera, so these are a few shots from the days I went.

Anyone catching the Men's final later tonight? I'm super excited that my 2 favourite guys, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, are finally meeting in a grand slam final for the first time ever. If it's going to be anything like last night's Women's final (awesome!), I'm expecting a tight battle. As much I like Murray and want to see him and Great Britain get a long-awaited grand slam trophy, I do like Djokovic more, so you know who I prefer to win!

These photos make staying in look perfectly elegant, and I believe I need prettier house dresses in my life.

When I'm not burying my nose in a book, I spend my commuting time being a a quiet observer by the tram or train window, with my trusted yellow camera. Pitch black clouds rolling above suburbia houses one day, gleaming sun rays over a sports stadium on another. It may not seem like much, but after a whole day in front of a computer, my eyes love it.

I've mentioned Spoonful on the blog before (not to be confused with Spoon), and Anthea has informed me that issue 3 of this sweet zine is now out. As I was checking out their Etsy shop, I couldn't help noticing the gorgeous Leaf Post-Its... which look soooo much better than those boring old square yellow things. Love!

The high socks weren't so much a preppy fashion choice, but more of a practical one. Tights would be the usual choice and these socks are mostly reserved for chilly indoor days instead, but I have a  scraped knee (took a nasty tumble at the train station. Yes, I am a major klutz), and it made sense to not have thick tights itching the wound. Ah well, band aids on the knee completes the school girl look, no?

Love: Japanese chocolate biscuits that are *almost* too cute to eat.
This was another little something my brother brought for me, along with the magazine and Totoro and Doraemon :)
